The boys completely adore their little sister and are absolutely wonderful around her...although they seem to be a little rougher on each other since her arrival. Aside from that, everyone seems to be adjusting perfectly well to the new addition. We've had Grandma Mary (or Grandma Mom, as Caleb often calls her) here running the house for us and what a BLESSING that has been. Grumpa Ric was up for visit and is headed back to San Angelo as I type. We're waiting for Grandma and Logan to get home from school and then we're heading over to get another bilirubin count on Molly. She's still a little jaundice and I just want to make sure it's not too high. We haven't had any sunshine in a week so there's been no chance for phototherapy here at the house.

I'll be posting more pictures of Molly soon. There are several more photos up on Flickr, but you'll have to be on my Friends and/or Family list to see them.

I'll post Molly's birth story soon. For now we're off to nurse!

alrighty then...

Well, thankfully, today was a better day, pregnancy wise. I suppose. I'd rather already be in labor and get this baby girl OUT OF MY BODY; however, I'll gladly accept all her painful wiggling around because I think she moved herself out of the posterior postion she must of been in to cause me all that back pain yesterday.

Easter was really low key this year...the Easter Bunny didn't have a chance (or forgot what day it was...po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe) to gather all the usual goodies for Easter morning. At roughly 12:30am she pulled out the few things she had picked up and set them out on the kitchen table along with some scavanged (from holidays past, ahem) treats and hoped for the best. Thank goodness the boys were totally thrilled! Talk about dodging bullets...the Easter Bunny normally wouldn't be so disorganized but word on the street is she's knocked up and the hormones are on overload. So, really, we're lucky we got what we got. Among the goodies the Easter Bunny did manage to procure before the actual day of was a Star Wars egg decorating kit. And did we ever have fun with that! Hard Boiled Egg Darth Vader even has a helmet.

At the request of the Easter Bunny, Mr. Easter Bunny set out on a covert mission this morning to get filler for the egg hunt eggs and then he took the boys out to the park so the Easter Bunny could fill the eggs and hide them...that's when the Easter Bunny realized the eggs she'd bought for this year were already stuffed. Ahem, yes, pre-made, ready-to-hide, eggs. Can I make things anymore difficult? Sigh.

In between the covert candy mission and the Easter egg hunt we took the boys to see Meet the Robinsons. What a great movie! Last August I bought A Day with Wilbur Robinson for the boys and we all love the book. I have to say, though, that I was little concerned with how the book would work as a movie...tons of characters and situations that are fine for a children's book but would be totally convoluted for a movie. We were not disappointed at all. The movie and book are by no means parallel, but they took the important characters and their quirks from the book and worked it all into a great story for the movie. Can't wait until it's out on DVD...we'll definitely be adding it to our collection.

Um, I also managed a couple snaps of my progress for Mimi's book. I apologize ahead of time for the crappy light...it's been overcast all weekend long.

And if it's possible, I'd like to make this post only slightly more meandering...check out this new site I stumbled upon this evening: Junior Society. It's only a few days old yet, but is already jam packed with lovely links and product reviews for well designed gear and gadgets for the wee ones in your life.

just checking in...

Let's see. Still pregnant. Had snow flurries this afternoon. In Texas. The day before Easter. While sparing you the gory details, I woke up this morning feeling AWFUL...gastrointestinal issues, familiar back pain, just generally worn out. I have slept off and on all day, have had Braxton Hicks contractions off and on all day...nothing painful at all. But the back pain? Holy shit, it HAS to be doing something...anything, besides just torturing me. Molly is moving around like normal, although every movement is painful for me, I'm dealing with it. I'd rather her move around like she's supposed to than worry that something might be wrong if she wasn't.

On the creative front, not much other than Mimi's spread is being worked on at the moment and it's moving in SLOW motion primarily because my attention span is currently about two point three seconds long at any given minute. I haven't really even had the energy to take a few pictures of what I'm working on so everyone will have an idea of what's cooking.

As I'm sure you can imagine, I've been a delight to be around today. All my sleeping has probably been a blessing to the household :). I'm sitting here trying to put a non-whiny sentence together and having no luck so I'll wrap it up for now. Here's hoping tomorrow will be a better day!!

Happy Easter to everyone!!
