Doorknob Love Notes

Because I cannot throw away even the smallest of scraps and I am a huge sucker for doorknob decorating, Doorknob Love Notes were born.

My original idea for these was to hang them from the kiddo's bedroom doors for little love notes and reminders but I can also see one of these hanging by the garage door serving as a last ditch reminder, "pick up dry cleaning," or "don't forget homework!"

Diaper wipes or antiseptic wipes work like a dream for clean-up.

Currently available for purchase: babies w/ pink & green print and folky flowers and stripes.

$25.00 Special orders are welcome too.

Mommy's Little Sanity Saver (roll-up chalk cloth place mat)

To learn the genesis of Mommy's Little Sanity Saver, click here (where you will be whisked away to a recent blog entry). The boys really like their "bendy chalk boards" as do my husband and I. I throw them in my purse on the way out the door and upon arriving to our restaurant of choice, I slap them down in front of the boys and immediately, my husband and I enjoy a few minutes of quality time before the wrangling begins again.

The mats roll up, tie shut and can be stored in the coordinating drawstring bag that comes along with them. The coordinating bag has a pocket inside which holds a piece of chalk and a matching eraser cloth. I laminate the border/backing fabrics for easy cleaning. Diaper wipes or antiseptic wipes work like a dream to really "clean the slate."

Currently available for purchase: cowboys and stars.

$38.00 for one. Buy two or more for $30.00 a piece. Please email me (amy at aplcreations dot com) for payment invoice. Special orders are welcome too.

I am pretty sure that I'm not the only mom in the universe that freaks out about the thought of placing their fresh, clean, shiny, relatively germ-free child onto a public restroom changing table. Anyway, one of the numerous baby items I find to be a necessity is the portable changing pad. I bought one for Logan before he was born and used it to pieces. Had to buy another one for Caleb. When I bought the first one I thought what a clever contraption, but it could certainly be cuter and better constructed.

Here is my solution to a cuter and more comfy, better constructed changing pad.

Each pad is made with an oilcloth cover, a coordinating cotton fabric liner with a layer of polyfil batting in between. I choose an additional coordinating cotton and make the bias tape edging myself. Each pad comes with a zippered pocket for diapering items at the foot of the pad and pocket at the head of the pad for diapers and wipes. The pocket can be flipped up to extend the length of the pad once baby turns to toddler. The changing pads are completely machine washable. Once through the wash cycle, smooth out any wrinkles and allow to air dry overnight.

At the moment the Buckaroos changing pad is available for immediate purchase. The wood grain changing pad lining is 'Buckaroos' by Phillip DeLeon with a small brown and mustard stars.

$38.00.

Please don't steal. It isn't nice, and besides, I'm sure your mother taught you better than that.
