Caleb and Logan, October 2005 10/05 This little blurb is in sore need of some updating!

Some people are born with silver spoons in their mouths…I, on the other hand, had a crayon, needle & thread, and a paint brush in mine.

I am lucky enough to have been born into a very creative, hectic, fantastic family.

My mother, an artist (in practically every medium) and retired teacher, let all six of us practice our "artistry" freely…she wasn't too thrilled when we took it to the walls, but I think that's where I perfected signing my work (three perfect little circles, always the same every time, so my folks say). My dad, a retired CPA and financial advisor, (who, if memory serves, draws a very good monster) dabbles in carpentry. All of my brothers and sisters have their own endeavors too. Nolan, a carpenter directional driller, is currently working on a toilet bowl coffee table renovating his home with my sister-in-law, Jana; Katie, a financial analyst, has been trying her hand at Mexican folk art monsters jewelry making, papier mache and cross-stitch; Nic, a computer guru and IT administrator, throws a mean ceramic mug; Beth, a student, is an artist of words, but was going to try out cross-stitch is taking a drawing class this semester ; and Patrick, also a student, builds things.

So, basically, as long as I can remember I have been creating things. For a while now I have been contemplating hanging my own shingle and pedalling my wares (at least since fifth grade, when my friend Tammy and I built a model of what our store would look like out of Lincoln logs). I really started thinking about it when I was pregnant with Logan. So here we are with my 'virtual' studio/shop…trying to get this show on the road.

Check back often because I will be adding all sorts of goodies all the time. I go through spells…quilts, dolls, cross-stitching, sewing, whatever strikes at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to sign the guestbook too!
