spring was here, but now it's gone again...
Last weekend was the Funky Finds Spring Fling and the weather was gorgeous (windy! but lovely nonetheless).
The show was great. Tons of people, lots of shoppers, nice neighbors. Jessica, Joe and their crew put on a really nice show!
I had every intention of posting the remaining goods on Etsy/Artfire this last week; however, this week has been Spring Break and while we didn't really have anything planned during the week, we were pretty busy just doing stuff.
We are wrapping up Spring Break this weekend with snow (uh, yes. SNOW. grumble.) and the Texas Pinball Festival. The whole lot of us where there yesterday; we whooped it up at the hotel with pinball, swimming, and racquetball. Then Lynn, the boys and one of Logan's friends spent the night playing pinball 'til the wee hours.
This year Caleb did all the tournaments while Logan and his buddy roamed the festival exercising a little new found autonomy. And yes, I admit it, I did an awful lot of covert hovering while I was there...this letting my kids grow up business is HARD! *Sniff*
After Caleb and Lynn finished competing in the father/son tournament all the kids and I went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The kids LOVED it. I did not. Now, there were some highly entertaining parts to this movie, but for the most part I sat there completely annoyed by Greg Heffley and his bullshit behavior! I don't know, I guess he seemed more endearing as a book character? I just wanted to give him a good thump to the forehead and tell him to get over himself. Ugh.
Anyway, next week it's back to school and back to the routine. Hallelujah!
