treat boxes, chucks, and a pegasus...

The PTA asked for desserts for a teacher appreciation project (I guess this is a monthly thing? Not sure, they didn't really indicate). Anyway, I made a batch of s.t.y.a. cake. I used the tutorial found on Cosmo Cricket's blog to make the boxes (very easy, very quick and very cute). The buses are cricut-cuts (and I did not pay anywhere near $89.99 for that cartridge! yikes.). Molly and I delivered three boxes to the school, two for the teacher's lounge and one for the admin office (because the admin office never gets appreciation days that I know of...). Ahem, I feel like I should admit I laminated those buses. I would like to laminate any and everything that is flat these days. Why, you might ask? I do not know, but I feel compelled.

"Take a peekchur with mah chucks." Ask and you shall receive.

After dropping off treats at school my wee partner-in-crime and I tried the new diner/bakery up the road for lunch. Consensus? The chicken salad is great. The cheese burger is not. Also, they don't have a children's menu so you'll pay full price to feed the kids and there are no booster seats or high chairs, but they do have coloring sheets and crayons. So, yeah. I'm guessing they're catering more toward the retirement home crowd next door.
