everyone knows who mimi kirchner is...
and if you don't, well it's high time you did!
I have long been an admirer of Mimi's work and about three years ago I had the great fortune to collaborate with Mimi, Theresa, Ellia, Cathy and Kristin on our Paperbag Swag Round Robin Swap (which was Theresa's completely genius idea). Over the course of that project, the six of us became very good friends and shared some really fantastic art and some really fun swag too. Click ►here◄to see the wonderful piece Mimi made for me. Mimi gifted Molly one of her sweater babies which is always a hit with little friends and random strangers (big and small) too. I've written down Mimi's information on napkins and gum wrappers more times than I can count.
I can attest to Mimi's work appealing to every generation. I've gifted Tiny World Pincushions to my Mom and my Grandmother and my sister just bought one for herself not too long ago. Her fabric postcards are gorgeous. Her tattooed men are brilliant. Her robots are ingeniously pieced together. Her dolls are unique and lovely. Every single thing she creates is precise in its details and the construction and embellishment is nothing short of impeccable.
