the ball, it is rolling...
Do you ever get so bogged down in everything else that needs to be done that you feel like you can't get started on something you really want to do? I do. Case in point: lately we've been barreling through all the back-to-school stuff, checking off things from the mile long list with lightning speed and pinpoint accuracy. I make plans to do something creative for myself at the end of the day but when the end of the day gets here, I am too tired to get started.

Well, I decided last night that even a small, quick project counts just the same as a big one. [duh!! What can I say? I like to unnecessarily complicate my life.] I'm still using my precious art supplies, I'm still doing something creative, and in the case of the photo above - I'm checking something off my list of things to do! Altogether, I probably spent half an hour from sketch to ink and color. I cut out the bookplate, ran it through the sticker maker and stuck it in the book. Now I'm ready to do something else, what will it be? I've got plenty of things on the MUST BE DONE list to choose from!
* * * * *
Also, I decree ATCs are making their way back into my creative rotation! I haven't made one in ages and they will totally fit the bill of a small, quick project. Amen!
