some celebrating is in order...
My last post was my 600th post. That deserves to be celebrated right? And my FOURTH blog birthday was back on September 9th. Four years! That totally deserves to be celebrated.
So what do? What to do? A giveaway of course. I don't know exactly what the prize (or prizes) will be just yet. But I promise they'll be good! How can you win? Just leave a comment here or on any other post on my blog between today and next Friday, 10a CST.
Next Friday I'll pull up my Haloscan manage comments page and count all the comments left between today (9/14) and next Friday (9/19 at 10a CST) and dump them into a random number generator to pick some winners!

More reasons to celebrate: we had no trouble from Ike up here, just some much needed rain and gusty winds from time to time. All our family and friends are safe and sound and so far their damage has been limited to loss of trees and fences. Our Houstonians are without power still and that's a hardship I hope goes away very soon. We are thankful for our good fortune and our thoughts and prayers are with those left dealing with the aftermath of Ike.
