happy new year!
We had a mild, and I do mean mild, New Year's Eve at the Lyons' abode. The festivities included the usual suspects, Jack Daniels and Beer, a few roadside fireworks and our friend Gary too. The precious little monsters didn't last much beyond 10:30, but that was to be expected. We had a visit from our five year old neighbor, Daniel, around 10:45. He regaled us with his delirious plans to stay up "all the way to one o'clock in the morning!" Then he wished us a "Happy New Year!" and went on about his merry way. We watched Napoleon Dynamite too. Holy crap does that movie make me laugh. I need a "vote for Pedro" t-shirt or somesing. Geez! Anyway, by 12:32am I was soundly asleep.
2005 is going to be a fabulous year, I can feel it...the precious little monsters let us all sleep in until almost NINE A.M. today. It is a glorious feeling to actually get a full night's sleep AND get to sleep in a little too. Lots of well boding for 2005 at the Lyons' house. If only we can get rid of all the snot.
Caleb STILL has a runny nose...STILL! Bless his little pea-picking heart, he already knows how to blow his own nose. Logan finally kicked his cold and ear infections. "Look Mom, my nose isn't 'notty." He asked me today where all the snot comes from and me, being the dutiful and responsible mother that I am, I took Logan by the hand and went straight to the computer to look it up on the internet. There are approximately 5,530,000 entries that fall within this search parameter on Google. This is by far my favorite link: Dr. and Mr. Haggis-on-Whey. I'll admit it right now, I spent an inordinate amount of time laughing my ass off as I wandered around this site. If you have a little time on your hands, I highly recommend you give this site a whirl.
